The natural root has to be cooked before it’s consumed as it contains some ingredients which could be poisonous when eaten raw.

Bonje, can I grow cassava roots in my backyard? I live in north of Italy and summer is quite hot. Air is even more than 35°.

Problem is you’ll need a cutting of the cassava plant. The tree won’t grow from the cassava itself :-( Quite where you go in Italy to get a cassava tree cutting it’s another big matter. If anyone can help please let us know.
